  • So. I've had a few more days in America now. Been going places, seeing people, readjusting to "the American life." It's been better so far.

I'm just glad I have a car because at least that means I can get places. The next thing is just finding places to go and people to go with.

Instead of focusing on what I miss, I'm trying more hopeful approach.

A few things to look forward to:

    1. Random trips to downtown to do touristy things
    2. Random trips to downtown to find more local specialties
    3. Restaurant weeks in Georgetown and other swanky neighborhoods
    4. A bucket of Thrashers and chocolate dipped vanilla cone on boardwalk at OC
    5. Random hiking trips to Great Falls Park, Rock Creek Park, and more random parks around DC like Teddy Roosevelt Island

    This list to be continued.

    Anyway, random thought for today:

The sky in America feels so much bigger, and it's a lot prettier than Taiwan's. It's really strange. The sky is the sky and you figure it's the sky no matter where you are in the world, but the sky here just feels so typically and picturesque American.
